• Christian
Lenz has a track record as an entrepreneur and as corporate CFO, both
internationally and in France. He is a German national, born in Munich
who grew up in Paris.
Mr. Lenz holds a Master in Management Grande École from ESCP Europe, and an Executive MBA from HEC Paris. He has a Franco-German bi-cultural profile and is tri-lingual (English, German and French).
Prior to founding LENZ International, Mr. Lenz served as Commercial Director and Head of Corporate Finance of the Paris-based Management consultancy Coffra, an ex-member firm of Moores Rowland International, MRI. (MRI has since merged with international accounting and audit firm Mazars to launch a new global alliance of independent firms named Praxity).
Before that, Mr. Lenz was Deputy CFO Europe and
Head of M&A Transactions Europe for Euro RSCG Worldwide, the world's fifth-largest global advertising and marketing agency network and the largest unit of Havas (NASDAQ: HAVS - Euronext Paris: HAV.PA),
the world's sixth-largest communications group. He also served as
Regional
CFO UK/Ireland.
Mr. Lenz also held the following
positions: CFO of Peaktime, a French media expert start-up company specialising in TV/audio technology and optimisation software for the media and marketing communications industry, Director of Finance and Administration of Europe Online, a
Luxemburg-based Internet online service start-up company, Financial Controller of
Deutsche Cargill in Hamburg, the international marketer, processor and
distributor of food, financial and industrial products and services,
Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis at The Walt Disney Company
in Paris. He started his career with Schlumberger (Oilfield Services) where he held
Financial Management and Audit positions in France, North Africa and in
Italy.
Mr. Lenz was for several years President of the International Chapter of
the French Institute of Financial Executives (Association nationale des
Directeurs Financiers et de Contrôle de Gestion, DFCG), where he sat on
the Executive Committee and on the Board. He oversaw strong chapter
growth, was instrumental in significantly expanding the scope of
activities of the chapter and organised and narrated several International CFO Conferences.
Since 2006, Mr. Lenz is a lecturer at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management (more -> in the News section).
